Memorial Ceremonial Fees

The fee requested for a funeral liturgy ceremony is $100.00. This fee covers the following:

• Planning in one to two meetings and/or as many email and phone contacts as needed to adequately plan for the service.
• My planning time for the service.
• Travel to and from the site of the service (up to 40 miles from my home in Lancaster, PA).
• Coordination with funeral director, if applicable.

Additional Fees:

• For services more than forty miles from Lancaster, PA, a charge of fifty cents per mile from past forty miles from my home to the service site and back to my home will be requested.
• The addition of a second or third ceremony component (such as a wake service or a graveside committal) is $50.00 per additional component.

Fee Schedule

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is requested no later than a week after our first planning meeting or conversation. This can be paid in the form of check, money order, or cash. Once this deposit is received and cleared, your ceremony date will be guaranteed and no other services will be planned for that date/time. If another ceremony for the same date is requested before the deposit is paid, I will make every effort to contact you in order to secure your date sooner. The first request will be honored for a given date as long as the deposit is paid and cleared for that date. The balance due for services will be due no later than the date of your memorial service. Payments should be sent to Joseph McLaughlin, at 702 South West End Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603 or may be handed to me in person.

If reasonable attempts to contact the family have not been met with success and/or the fee schedule above has not been followed, another ceremony may be scheduled for the date/time that has been requested. If there are cases of economic hardship or financial difficulties, please do not let that deter you from using my services. Please discuss the need with me. It is important for me to be able to bless families through ceremonial ministry, regardless of financial means.
